After the earthquake, Ellie makes the dumb decision to do laundry, which requires her to take the elevator down. Meanwhile, Danny is playing the vinyl her found, which, of course, unleashes evil.
The invisible entity pushes Ellie back into the elevator and takes her for a ride in the elevator. Ellie ends up crashing on the floor once it stops, but she’s stuck in the car. As she tries to pry the door open with her keys, she hears whispering and noises. The entity lifts her hair and rips her earring out. She screams for it to shut up. It slaps her, then commands the elevator cables to hang her. More cables fly out to suspend her limbs, rendering her unable to move, before it snaps her limbs.
