Ellie meets the unseen entity in the apartment building’s elevator. Cables come from everywhere to sting her up (like Mia in Evil Dead (the reboot), busting her bones into unnatural shapes. The entity compels Ellie to walk back into the apartment, where Bridget sees her walking in that halting, broken way zombies do. Ellie goes to the kitchen to make eggs, which is just throwing whole eggs into the pan. Real Ellie and Demon Ellie seemingly fight for control; she vomits and then crashes. That’s the end of Ellie and the start of Demon Ellie.
