Maddie Brecker is Tyler’s partner. At the start, she is unsure about the van-life future Tyler wants for them, especially after seeing the domestic life they are leaving behind (her foster-care backstory adds context to why stability and home matter to her). Her hesitation around the engagement ring reflects that conflict: she cares about Tyler, but she does not fully want the life he is choosing for them.
As The Passenger begins stalking them, Maddie becomes the one who notices the pattern and takes the threat seriously. Her fear is practical: she investigates the dashcam footage, recognizes the three-slash marking, listens to Diana’s warnings, and pieces together the St. Christopher connection.
