Tyler is a bit clueless. He’s the one most invested in their van-life plan, treating it as an adventure and a future worth committing to, but is a bit dismissive of Maddie’s wishes. His proposal to Maddie comes from that optimism, but it also highlights the gap between what he wants and what she is quietly struggling with.
