Larissa’s mother, who likes pushing the envelope, even when she knows she shouldn’t. She’s a devout Catholic who loves to pray the rosary. She’s the one who gets up in Katie’s face multiple times and doesn’t learn her lesson. Eventually, she’s choked out (with her rosary) and thrown out Katie’s window to the wolves–literal wolves, who then disembowel her in front of the Cannon family.

Their Ending Spoiler

Abuela is praying the rosary in Katie’s room when Katie slams her on the floor, knocking out her teeth. Katie Demon uses her mind to control the rosary, which then wraps around Veronica’s neck, lifting her up off the floor. Katie tells her it’s fun to be dead before blowing, which sends Gma through the window (leaving behind a cross-shaped hole) onto the car with Charlie and the two other kids. Veronica is dragged off the hood by the wolves, who then proceed to disembowel her while she screams (Larissa is watching silently from Katie’s window).

The demon inhabits Abuela later at her own funeral, hopping up on the kitchen table and stuffing her face full of funeral food before making a sexual comment to Charlie. She also spits a scorpion into the detective’s throat. After that, we don’t see her. Presumably, she is dead after the demon leaves her when it’s transferred to Charlie.
