Character Notes
Lena’s husband, a Special Forces soldier, is the first person to return from The Shimmer. His return pulls Lena into the mission and reveals how badly The Shimmer alters identity. We only see Real Kane in flashbacks; he otherwise seems like a depressed version of himself.
Their Ending Spoiler
The Real Kane kills himself with a phosphorus grenade in the lighthouse, as Lena discovers. The Kane we’ve met in the present day is a duplicate.
