Egotistical, he eventually trips himself up when he forgets about the black box that contains the truth about the show.
While he hasn’t gotten his hands dirty, he’s responsible for all the runners, hunters, and civilians who died to film his show.
Killian has a whole host of people to do his dirty work, from hired guns to civilians.
I can only assume Killian is driven by his egotistical need for power (and money).
