David and Judy are at a truck stop, drinking water (lol no seriously – it’s a break in the action where they collect supplies, but they both go for water). As David is listening to a radio transmission, the place’s lights go off with the exception of some lighting that flickers. Judy is in the diner, David in the garage.
A zombie with a trucker hat surprises Judy, the chase begins. She grabs a kitchen knife and attempts to hide from the zombies, now two, who are looking for her. It’s then the camera pans to a corpse with its jaw ripped off.
There’s a jump scare with David, who grabs Judy and covers her mouth in an attempt to muffle her screams. They run to the semi truck they spied earlier, but David can’t start it. He’s got the wrong keys. As David reaches the to grab the keys off a bloated body, a zombie breaks a window with some kind of auto rifle. Only a hand grabs David’s leg, and he’s pulled under the semi-truck into the service pit beneath, where he drops the keys.
The zombie that pulled him in looks like the yellow version of the red devil from insidious. His eyes are yellow and there’s bulging veins all over his face. The two proceed to get into a fist fight.
Meanwhile, some other zombie with a semi-automatic hops up into the truck cab. Judy is hiding behind the seats and surprises him, shooting him in the head.
David is still in a fist-fight with yellow devil dude. David utilizes the utilities, and chops the zombie with a sliding grate. Then David lights him on fire.
David and Judy take off in the semi truck.
