Awwww, man…

Fuck, that was depressing. Honestly, I don’t know what to say about it.

The movie surrounds a mother and her two girls, who are basically being forced out of their home for “the quarry” (it’s a period piece). There’s a lesson here, maybe, but I’d rather not learn it if I have to suffer through the slow torture (not necessarily in the physical sense) of both humans and animals.

In no way does this movie do anything for me, whatsoever. No payoff. Lots of loss, hardship, death…for what? There’s no payback or comeuppance.

I watch horror movies to get away from real life, and this movie made life more depressing.
