Character Notes
Winifred hasn’t changed much in the few decades since we’ve seen here. Still out to capture and eat children so she and her sisters can live forever. But this time, we find out a bit more about Winifred and her sisters in flashbacks. They are slightly more sympathetic characters because of it.
Bette Midler is fantastic. The woman’s voice is still as strong and powerful as ever. It’s a shame she doesn’t act as much as she used to. There’s a natural, mischievous quality to her performances that you don’t see in her peers.
Their Ending Spoiler
It’s debatable on whether or not the Sanderson Sisters expire. They seem to disintegrate into the ether, but by the credits, they’re in the studio recording a song. I think it leaves the door open for another sequel.
