Movie Details Nightmare Cinema View full movie page →

Nightmare Cinema is an anthology tied together by a movie theater.

The first two vignettes are quite grotesque (in the B-movie vein – meaning it’s mostly makeup, obviously so).

Then Mickey Rourke shows us as the projectionist, making me wonder what kind of B-movie Mickey shows up in…

My favorite – by far – are the last two. The one with Elizabeth Reaser is what-the-fuckery but a super interesting short. And I was surprised to find Annabelle Gish in a vignette, too.

I’d watch this again. It’s not the best put-together movie, but the worst parts end rather quickly, and you’ve got some good performances by both known and unknown actors.

**I looked at the IMDB credits and discovered that Patrick Wilson is the voice on the phone Reaser talks to!
